The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie 2 Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers to the community.

SASSA will be rendering solutions for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, client treatment enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency said it really is alarmed with regards to the higher number of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The intention from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your significant amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This really is as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no absolutely functional office committed to service the area on a regular basis. The services point made for intervention encounters a website higher inflow of prospective beneficiaries, that makes it hard for the Workplace to attend to all people who go to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra sources to help the servicing of all buyers and improve use of Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
